How to deal with smoke when using worm gear reducer

Any tool will malfunction during use; this is unavoidable. However, if we don't try to find the cause and solve the problem when it malfunctions, then we are in the wrong.Worm gear reducerIt's a tool we use frequently, and various accidents can easily occur during its operation. The most common and frequent accident is sudden smoke, which often causes discomfort. As professional operators, when encountering such a problem, our task is to identify the cause and resolve it.

There are two types of smoke emitted from a worm gear reducer: black smoke and white smoke. These two situations are different, and the causes are also different, so we will analyze them separately. First, let's understand the first situation. If the machine is emitting black smoke, this is generally caused by a problem with the oil filter or the piston rings. To solve this problem, you either need to change to a new type of oil or replace the leaking piston rings.

After changing the engine oil or piston rings, the problem of black smoke from the worm gear reducer was resolved. However, if it's emitting white smoke, this method won't solve the problem. Therefore, we need to understand the causes of white smoke. The problem of white smoke is related to issues with the fuel system (moisture), cylinders, or fuel injectors. To resolve moisture in the fuel system, stop draining the fuel tank and check for moisture. To resolve cylinder problems, replace the cylinder parts. To resolve fuel injector problems, inspect the fuel injectors.
