Lubrication of cycloidal speed reducer and method of checking and replacing oil level

Lubrication of cycloidal speed reducers

(1) This cycloid reducer must be filled with lubricating oil before use, and the reducer at the time of sale is usually not loaded with lubricating oil for ease of loading, unloading and transportation.

(2) I tingxing reducer using grease lubrication reducer for the convenience of customers in the sell before have been injected into the lubricating grease.

(3) For general-purpose cycloid reducer, 40# to 50# general mechanical oil is generally used at room temperature. In order to improve product performance and prolong the service life of the reducer, do not use large viscosity (concentration) gear oil for reducers above B4 (including B4), as the gear oil is prone to produce stirring heat inside the reducer, accelerating the high temperature of the reducer, which is unfavorable to the reducer.

(4) The lubricant should be reconsidered when the reducer is operated under harsh operating conditions, frequent start-stop and high or low temperatures.

(5) When the reducer is lubricated with grease, it is recommended to use grease such as special grease-2#, molybdenum disulfide-2# or 2L-2# lithium grease.

(6) When filling grease, the oil level should not be higher than the upper limit of the oil label, nor lower than the lower limit of the oil label. During operation, the oil level should be observed frequently and the lubricant of the same grade should be replenished in time.

(7) The amount of grease loaded is 1/2-1/3 of the volume of the speed reducer, and the grease should not be added too much, otherwise stirring heat will be generated.

(8) Lubricating oil replacement cycle: the first replacement, the first replacement after 300 hours of initial operation of the reducer, replacement, should remove the residual oil. Subsequent replacement; for those who work continuously for more than 10 hours a day, replace every 3 months; for those who work intermittently for less than 10 hours a day, replace every 6 months.

(9) Grease replacement cycle: Every 6 months.

(10) Before reusing the reducer which has not been used for a long time, the lubricating oil or grease must be renewed and replaced.

(11) Do not allow the injection of unclean or corrosive lubricants.

(12) When refueling, turn on the vent cap on the upper part of the reducer to refuel, and when draining, turn on the oil drain screw on the lower part of the reducer to drain the dirty oil.

(13) For vertical speed reducer with circulating lubrication, the oil pump should be started before use, and the speed reducer should be started after waiting for the oil pump to work normally.

(ii) Inspection of lubricating oil and grease of reducer

Method of checking the oil level of the speed reducer:

1. Cut off power to prevent electric shock. Wait for the reducer to cool down.

2, first with a clean gauze head or steam engine oil to the reducer oil window mirror scrub clean

3、Observe the oil window mirror on the side of the reducer, if you can't see the internal lubricant and grease inside the oil window mirror, it means that the reducer is out of oil.

4, lack of oil immediately open the refueling hole to add lubricating oil, grease.

Oil quality check of reducer lubricant:

1. Cut off the power supply to prevent electric shock. Wait for the reducer to cool down;

2. Open the oil screw plug and take an oil sample;

3, check the viscosity index of the oil: if the oil is obviously cloudy, it is recommended to replace it as soon as possible;

4、For reducer with oil level screw plug: check the oil level, whether it is qualified; install the oil level screw plug.

How to change the lubricating oil of the speed reducer:

The viscosity of the oil increases after cooling and it is difficult to drain the oil, the reducer should be changed at the operating temperature.

1. Cut off the power supply to prevent electric shock. Wait until the reducer has cooled down and there is no danger of burning;

  (Note: The gearbox should still be kept warm during an oil change.)

2. Put an oil catch pan under the oil drain screw plug;

3. Open the oil level screw plug, ventilator and oil drain screw;

4. Remove all the oil;

5. Install the oil drain screw plug;

6. Inject new oil of the same grade (Note: Do not add lubricants of different grades inside the same reducer);

7. The oil volume should be consistent with the installation position;

8. Check the oil level at the oil level screw plug;

9. Tighten the oil level screw plug and ventilator.
